On Sunday, Heritage (Wake Forest, NC) prospect Drake Thomas became the latest inside linebacker to receive a scholarship offer from Clemson.
The Tigers have now extended three offers at this position for the 2019 recruiting class, which also includes Charles Thomas from IMG Academy (Bradenton, FL) and Shane Lee who plays for St. Frances Academy (Baltimore, MD).
In the 2018 class, Clemson has offered Virginia products Terajda Mitchell (Bishop Sullivan Catholic) and K’Vaughan Pope (Dinwiddle County) at inside linebacker, along with North Carolina product Dax Hollifield (Shelby).
Thomas most recently made an unofficial visit to Virginia Tech during July after attending UNC’s camp the previous month. Both schools offered this past Spring.
He also holds offers from Wake Forest, Houston, Duke, Maryland, West Virginia, Marshall, Appalachian State, NC State, Charlotte, ECU and Michigan, who extended Thomas’ first offer last November.
