Louis Smith has a pair of SEC trips in mind.
This upcoming Fall, the D’lberville (Biloxi, MS) offensive lineman plans to attend games at Auburn and in-state Ole Miss.
Smith made unofficial visits to both campuses this past spring as well as camps in Oxford during June and July.
“Auburn and Ole Miss have impressive football programs, ” he said. “I have great relationships with both (head coach) Herb Hand of Auburn and (OL coach) Matt Luke of Ole Miss. Herb Hand is knowledgeable and innovative. Matt Luke has a passion and brings intensity and an edge to the game. It would be an honor to play for either university.”
The 2019 prospect also shared his perspective of what these schools offer in the classroom.
“Academically both universities would provide an exceptional education and an opportunity to compete and learn from awesome coaches.”
Smith has also made trips to Vanderbilt, Georgia, Southern Miss and most recently Tulane, last month.
He holds scholarship offers from Kentucky Christian, ULM, Mississippi State, Nicholls State, Southern Miss and Troy.
