Interest from the SEC continued to grow for C.J. Person on Sunday following a scholarship offer from Mississippi State.
During the Spring, the Montgomery Catholic Preparatory (Montgomery, AL) defensive lineman made a pair of trips to the campuses of in-state conference rivals Alabama and Auburn.
Person also holds offers from nine other programs including Mercer, Troy, Tulane, Jacksonville State, Arkansas State, Middle Tennessee State, Memphis, Bowling Green and South Alabama.
The 2019 prospect competed at the U.S. Army All-American National Combine as well as Nike football’s The Opening Regionals.
On film, he provides scheme diversity with a tremendous ability to shed blocks and finish off ball carriers behind the line of scrimmage.
As a sophomore a season ago, Person displayed a skill set which featured a consistent presence at the point of attack.
