SEC interest grows for Mississippi lineman

It’s been five on-campus camps for Louis Paul Smith during the off-season so far.

The D’Iberville (Biloxi, MS) offensive lineman took trips to Ole Miss, MSU, Southern Miss, Vandy and Auburn.

In July, Smith has plans to camp at Tulane and make a return to Auburn.

“Auburn, Ole Miss and Southern Miss stood out the most because the coaches took the most personal time with me and my family, and strengthened our relationship,” he said. “These camps also provided a lot of instruction that will help me become a better player.”

The 2019 prospect currently holds scholarship offers from Louisiana-Monroe, Kentucky Christian, Mississippi State, Nicholls State, Southern Miss and Troy.

Smith most recently received visits from the coaching staffs of South Alabama, Louisiana Tech, Memphis and Tulane during early May.
