Bishop Gorman lineman ready for return trip to Southern Cal

This upcoming weekend, Jacob Isaia will be making his third Pac 12 trip over the last four-plus weeks by attending Southern Cal’s camp.

The Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas, NV) offensive lineman had previously made an unofficial visit to the Trojans’ campus during February of 2016.

“I look forward to competing against the best defensive linemen in the West,” he said. “I hope to get better with each rep.”

Last month, Isaia took an unofficial visit to Stanford, which was a first for the 2018 prospect.

“Amazing visit, ” he said of Stanford. “I would love an offer. Coach [David] Shaw is down to earth and very approachable. He gave part of the tour himself and spent the whole day with the recruits. The facilities are nice and the coaching staff is exceptional. A Stanford offer would be amazing, and put them near the top of the list.”

As far as scholarship offers go, Isaia received his most recent one from Louisville this past weekend following offers from Iowa State, UConn and Arizona during early May.

“I visited Louisville in the spring and met with Coach [Bobby] Petrino,” he said of the on-campus experience. “I was very impressed with the high powered offense. The new facilities were very nice as well. A Louisville offer is special because of the offense, the ACC conference, and the current Heisman trophy winner plays at quarterback this season.”
