
Following Ohio State’s 30-27 double-overtime win over rival Michigan this past Saturday, Urban Meyer made a return to the recruiting trail.
On Monday, the Buckeyes’ head coach made a visit to Cambridge Christian (Tampa, FL) junior offensive/defensive lineman Richard Gouraige.
The 2018 prospect received a scholarship offer from the Buckeyes this past July 20 after Clemson extended an offer of its own seven days prior.
Earlier in the year during the Spring, the Wolverines added their offer on April 21, which was the same day as Miami.
Gouraige’s most recent offer came on Monday from Rutgers.
On Sept. 10 he landed an offer from LSU, who announced the promotion of Ed Orgeron to full-time head coach this past Saturday, after serving in an interim role during the previous seven games with the Tigers.
Other SEC schools which have offered includes Alabama (June 1), Tennessee (May 17), Ole Miss (May 13), Florida (April 4), Auburn (Feb. 29), Georgia (Nov. 9, 2015) and Kentucky (April 28, 2015).
He recently took unofficial visits to South Florida (Sept. 24) and Florida State (Oct. 29) this season.
