Virginia Tech receives 2017 verbal commitment

On April 23, Tahj Capehart took a visit to Blacksburg.

This trip was eventually followed by an offer from Notre Dame 3 days later, a visit from Miami Hurricanes defensive coordinator Manny Diaz on May 11, a visit to Alabama on June 5 and competing at West Virginia’s camp on June 24.

On Saturday, the Bishop Sullivan Catholic (Virginia Beach, VA) wide receiver announced his commitment to Virginia Tech.

Capehart holds 21 scholarship offers and brings physicality and speed to the position with his background in the secondary, and playing in the box on the defensive side of the ball.
