Since his time in “The Swamp”, the senior-to-be wrapped up the academic year, began off-season workouts with Eagle’s Landing Christian and has continued to develop interest from colleges. The Chargers are coming off a Georgia High School Association A Private State Championship in 2015.

Byron Terry-Florida Visit
Eagle’s Landing Christian Academy CB Byron Terry visits Florida

Which schools do you plan to visit this summer and which camps will you be at? I’m not sure on visits quite yet, but my high school is going on a college tour for camps at Wake Forest, Clemson, NC State and others, and I’ll visit Florida over the summer. They invited me to a camp.

Which schools have shown you the most interest so far? And who do u think will be your first offer? Well, they are all the same level of interest. I have been contact with Samford lately as well. And as far as first offer, I’m not sure. I still have work to do. Gotta keep praying and such things.

What position do the coaches see you playing at the next level? Nickel, corner or both? Since I’m a smaller guy, possibly nickel, but either or is fine.

What techniques have you been working on to improve during your 7 on 7 and offseason work? My press man and zone coverage, I feel needs work. And just footwork and such things

What will it take to compete for another state title? And how excited are you to be moving up the depth chart and into a larger role? Just working hard and playing as a team, as one.  I just have to do my job.

Who do you try to model your game after? Which college and NFL guys do you try to emulate? Vernon Hargreaves III (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) for the NFL, now that he’s in the league. But some guys I pay a lot of attention to are Josh Norman (Washington Redskins), Darrelle Revis (New York Jets), and the Broncos secondary. Now college, I like Jalen Tabor (Florida), Quincy Wilson (Florida), Cam Sutton (Tennessee), and Jamal Adams (LSU).

What it is about all those guys? Is there a certain trait they all have in common? Well, I can’t really tell you on that. They are all good players. But I guess for college right now, my favorites are Tabor and Wilson. I talked to them a few times on my visit not too long ago.
