Wake Forest added a piece to its 2017 recruiting class with the verbal commitment of Buford High School’s Jake Simpson this past Sunday.
The junior, who finished last season with 97 tackles at outside linebacker, made an anouncement via Twitter. Simpson saw action on the offensive side of the ball as well, while lining up at tight end and fullback.
He is currently listed at 6 feet, 2 inches and 205 pounds, and was named as an all-county honorable mention selection during the Wolves’ state runner-up campaign.
